Close your eyes.
Imagine.
You are in a forest.
Listen closely to the wind as it rustles through the leaves and the tall grass. The faunal waves, an endless ocean into the distance. The ebb and flow of the air chasing between the trees. Those mighty giants standing stately and proud; holding their ground against all but the strongest onslaught of wind. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin. The redness seeping through your eyelids changes as the dappled light from the leaves above plays across your face. The crimson overwhelms your vision and you have to shut your eyes tighter to keep it out. It’s no use. When you open your eyes, it’s to a world too blue, too green, and too coruscant and dazzling. Your eyes adjust the aquamarine leaves back to the emerald you remember.
Smell the rich earth and the life and decay all around.
